To draw your chart we need your date, time and place of birth, and to send you the report we need a way to reach you. That is the whole of it. We do not sell your details, and we never send your birth details, your question or your reading to anyone for advertising. We do advertise this site on Facebook and Instagram, and we measure whether those ads work — how that works, and how to stop it, is set out in full below. There is no analytics script and no tag manager anywhere on this site.
Two things on this page are worth knowing before the detail. The advertising code never runs on your payment page or on your report page — those addresses are the private link to your own reading, and we do not let any advertising tool see them. And what we do send Meta about a purchase is scrambled: your email address and phone number are turned into a fingerprint that Meta can compare against an account it already has, and cannot turn back into your address or your number.
What we collect
When you place an order we ask for:
- Your name — the report is addressed to it.
- Your date, time and place of birth — these are the inputs to the chart. Without them there is no reading.
- Your email address and WhatsApp number — so we can send you your report and reply if something goes wrong. You may give us one and not the other.
- Your question, if you write one. This is often the most personal thing on the page and we treat it that way.
- Your language preference.
Alongside those we keep a payment reference from Razorpay so we can match your order to your payment, and the report we generated for you.
If you reached us from an advertisement, we also store, against that order, the
advertising identifiers your browser was already carrying — the
_fbp and _fbc values described under
Cookies — together with the IP address and browser
description your order was placed from. They exist for one purpose: to tell Meta
that the advertisement it showed led to a sale, without telling it who you are. They
are not used to build a profile of you, and they are deleted with the rest of your
order when you ask.
We do not collect your card number, your UPI PIN or your net-banking credentials. Those go to Razorpay and never reach us. We do not ask for your address, your income, your identity documents or your medical history, and you should not send them to us.
Why we hold it
To compute your chart, to write your report, to deliver it to you, to let you open your download link again later, and to answer you if you write to us about your order.
One further use, stated plainly rather than folded into the list above: we use a scrambled form of your email address and phone number to tell Meta that a purchase happened, so that we can see which advertisements are worth paying for. That is measurement, not profiling. We do not build a profile of you, and we never use your birth details, your question or your reading to market anything — not to you, not to anybody. No advertising system receives them, and there is no code in this site that could send them.
Who else sees it
Four companies process parts of it on our behalf. There are no others.
- Razorpay takes the payment. Their payment window is loaded from
checkout.razorpay.comon the payment page, and on no other page of this site. They receive what a payment needs — the amount, your name, and the email address and phone number you gave us so that your receipt reaches you — and they may set their own cookies while you are paying, under their privacy policy. We receive only a reference to the payment. - Anthropic and/or Google write the interpretive sections of the report. What is sent to them is your name, your birth date and time, the coordinates of your birth place, the computed chart, and your question. Your email address and your phone number are not sent. These providers process the request and do not use it to train their models.
- Supabase hosts the database your order sits in and the private storage the finished PDF sits in. The report file is not publicly readable.
- Render hosts the website itself.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) measures our advertising. What it receives is set out in full under Advertising below. In short: a scrambled form of your email address and phone number, the value of the order, and the advertising identifiers your browser already carried. Not your name, your birth details, your question, your reading, or the address of your report.
We do not sell, rent, trade or share your details with anyone else — not with advertisers, not with data brokers, and not with other astrologers. We will disclose something only if a law or a valid order from an Indian court requires it.
How long we keep it
Your order and your report are kept so that your download link keeps working and so we can help you if you write to us later. If you want them gone, ask us and we will delete your order, your birth details, your question and your report — see your rights below.
We keep the record of the payment itself for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to, which is separate from your birth details and cannot be deleted on request.
How it is kept
The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type reaches us encrypted. The report files sit in private storage rather than at a public address. Access to the order database is limited to the people running Sadhna Astro. No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise, but we do not keep anything we do not need, which is the only real protection there is.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to:
- Show you what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your order, your birth details, your question and your report.
- Withdraw consent to us holding them at all — which means the same as deletion, and means your download link will stop working.
- Object to advertising measurement — we will delete the advertising identifiers held against your order and send nothing further about it to Meta. Your order and your report are untouched. See Advertising.
Write to us using the details at the bottom of this page. We will reply within 7 working days and act within 30 days. There is no charge. We may ask you to confirm the email address or phone number the order was placed with, so that we do not hand somebody's birth chart to a stranger who asked for it.
Cookies
This site sets no analytics cookies, because it runs no analytics. If you use the light/dark switch, that choice is stored in your own browser and never reaches us. The only cookie we set ourselves is a sign-in cookie on the staff admin pages, which you will never encounter as a customer.
Meta's advertising cookies. On the public pages — the home page, the order form and these policies — Meta's advertising code sets two cookies in your browser:
_fbp, a random identifier for this browser. It does not contain your name, your email address or anything you typed._fbc, set only if you arrived by clicking one of our advertisements. It records which advertisement that was.
They are Meta's, they last up to 90 days, and Meta's own privacy policy governs what it does with them. If you would rather they were not there, see Advertising below.
Where they are not. That code does not run on your payment page or on your report page. Those addresses are the private link to your own reading, and an advertising tool records the address of every page it runs on — so we do not let one near them. This is a deliberate restriction in the site's code, not a setting.
On the payment page, Razorpay's own payment window may set cookies of its own — it needs them to run a payment safely and to spot fraud. Those are Razorpay's, not ours, we cannot read them, and they are not on any other page of this site.
Advertising
We advertise this site on Facebook and Instagram. To know whether an advertisement led to a sale rather than to nothing, Meta has to be told that the sale happened. Here is exactly how that is done, because the detail is the part that matters.
In your browser, on the public pages only, Meta's code records that the page was opened and whether you scrolled as far as the description of the report. That is all it does here.
From our server, when you submit the order form, reach the payment page, pay, receive your report or open it, we send Meta a short message saying so. Each message contains:
- a scrambled (SHA-256 hashed) form of your email address and phone number. This is a one-way fingerprint: Meta can compare it against an account it already holds, and cannot turn it back into your address or your number;
- a scrambled form of the order number;
- the amount of the order, in rupees;
- the advertising identifiers, IP address and browser description described above.
What is never sent, to Meta or to any other advertising system: your name, your date, time or place of birth, your question, any part of your reading, the report file, or the web address of your report. There is no path through this site's code that could send them, and that is checked by an automated test on every change.
If you would rather we did not. Any of these works, and none of them affects your order or your report:
- Turn off off-site activity in your own Facebook or Instagram settings (Accounts Centre → Your information and permissions). This is the one that stops Meta using it, including anything sent before today.
- Block the cookies above in your browser's settings, or use a browser or extension that blocks advertising code. The site works normally without it.
- Write to us using the details at the bottom of this page and say you do not want your order used for advertising measurement. We will delete the advertising identifiers held against your order and send nothing further about it.
We do not run a cookie banner. We would rather tell you plainly, on a page you can read in full, than ask you to dismiss a box — and the three routes above are under your control rather than ours.
Children
Sadhna Astro is for adults. Do not order a reading if you are under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how any of this works, we change this page and move the date at the top of it. Material changes will be announced on the home page as well.
